| There are many dogs in Pormpuraaw. Most families have a few dogs at their house. We use some for hunting, security and we also keep them as pets. When there is a dog that is not friendly we call them a cheeky dog. You must be careful of cheeky dogs as they might sneak up behind you and bit your ankles. When we are walking around Pormpuraaw we always know where the cheeky dogs live and walk another way. My ghost net sculpture has lots of teeth - just like cheeky dogs. |
