| Sea turtles are call Puk Lorrum in my Kugu Language. These are big totem animals for us. We did not hunt them for food so much but definitely hunted their eggs. We celebrate this amazing animal in song and dance. One story tells how a large sea turtle wrestles with lighting keeping cyclones out at sea awn from land where they can do damage to communities. |
