Barramundi are a big totem for Pormpuraaw. We catch many in our rivers and sea. They can grow extremely large. They are delicious to eat especially when we cook them on the coals of a fire on the beach. When we catch a big one we love to share it with all our families and friends. This sculpture is made with the back bones of a large Barra. |
