Dilly Bag, Fire Stick & Yam Digging Stick

Dilly bags have always been important to our people. My old people used to carry everything they needed in them. They would be around the neck or carried on the back with head band. A good dilly bag would take weeks to make. Yams are an important traditional food. They would be dug out of the ground by hand or with a digging stick. My old people would use the seeds from the Yuk Puukaw vine to decorate their fire sticks.
