| When we say the "Old Ones" we are talking about our ancestors. This includes our grandfathers and beyond. We are connected to all of them. They are deceased now but their spirits now are part of our traditional country. They have become their totems. They lived a simpler life then ours; no distractions, no TV, no cigarettes. I think about hose old ones and old ways. I was raised by my grandparents. They lived the old ways and taught me those skills needed to live that way. |
