| The Holroyd River is the homeland of my mother's family. As a child we often camped there. This painting is my memory of the fishing boats that were often seen fishing at the mouth of the Holroyd River. I remember seeing them with their nets and small boats. Our waters are plentiful with fish which was a traditional food for our old people. We continue to enjoy catching and eating fish today. |
